Shay Woodhouse
Shay’s work processes concepts of home, addiction, religion (LDS specifically), agrarian crisis, rural identity and the American Dream. The narrative of her work cultivates a sense of nostalgia and carries repeated symbolism drawn from photographs and memories.

Shay Woodhouse was born 5th generation on a potato farm in Oakley, Idaho. She is a multimedia artist primarily working with clay, oil paint, and fiber arts. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2018. Since then, she has resided in Boise where she has a full time studio practice and runs The Clay Collective offering classes and art shows to her community.
